General terms & conditions
These terms outline the contractual framework for consultancy, supervision and project management services delivered by Bouwcons.
1. About Us
Bouwcons is a small renovation and finishing company based in Pernis (Rotterdam, Netherlands). We specialize in interior renovation, painting, wallpapering, plastering, ceilings and attic finishing. We work with a strong focus on detail, transparency, and durable results.
2. Scope of Work
All work to be carried out will be clearly described in the quotation and/or project agreement. Any additional services or changes requested by the client after the start of the project may result in additional costs and extended deadlines.
3. Quotations & Pricing
- All quotations are non-binding unless otherwise stated in writing.
- Prices are based on the information provided by the client.
- Any adjustments caused by inaccurate or incomplete information may lead to price changes.
4. Payments
- A payment schedule will be agreed prior to the start of the project.
- Unless otherwise agreed, 30% deposit is due before work begins, the remaining balance upon completion.
- Late payments may result in interest charges and suspension of work.
5. Client Responsibilities
The client is responsible for providing:
- Access to the work area
- Necessary utilities (electricity, water, heating)
- Safe working environment
Delays caused by the client may affect the project schedule.
6. Materials & Warranty
We use high-quality materials suitable for the project. Warranty on workmanship is 6 months unless otherwise specified. Warranty does not apply to:
- Damage caused by misuse, negligence, or lack of maintenance
- Natural wear and tear
- Issues resulting from third-party work after completion
7. Project Changes & Delays
Unforeseen conditions (structural issues, moisture, hidden defects, etc.) may affect cost and timing. We will communicate any necessary adjustments promptly and transparently.
8. Cancellations
If the client cancels the project after acceptance, Bouwcons reserves the right to charge for completed work, purchased materials, and reasonable compensation for planning and reserved time.
9. Liability
Bouwcons is not liable for:
- Indirect or consequential damages
- Pre-existing structural or technical issues
- Damage resulting from improper use after delivery
Our liability is limited to the amount invoiced for the project.
10. Complaints
Any concerns must be reported within 7 days after completion. We will respond and provide a fair solution whenever possible.
11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Any disputes will be handled by the competent court in Rotterdam.
